Advent and Christmas at Ascension

Sunday, December 1st is the First Sunday of Advent, and thus, the beginning of our new liturgical year. Please mark your calendars now for the following special services. If you are looking for a new church home, or looking to find the deeper meaning to the season beyond the lights and the gifts, Christmas is an excellent time to visit us. If you are already a part of our church family, consider inviting a friend to one of our services this year.

A Christmas Carol- 4pm.

—Stu Whalen will once again perform his one-man adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

Advent III

Sunday, December 15th, Rose Sunday, Regular Mass Schedule

Children’s Prayer Breakfast- 9:30am.

Advent IV- Children’s Christmas Pageant

Sunday, December 22nd, 10:30am

Instead of a sermon today, our children help to retell the Christmas story with our annual Christmas Pageant. A favorite service for all ages!

Christmas Eve

Tuesday, December 24th

5:00pm Family Service

The family service is a slightly shorter mass with Christmas carols and a children’s sermon. No incense is used at this service.

10:30pm Midnight Mass

This is the traditional Christmas Eve service with full choir, incense, and procession to the creche.

Christmas Day

Wednesday, December 25th

9:30am Low Mass
